Fundraise for us

As an independent, not-for-profit organisation we rely on donations from the public to power our work – ensuring Australians have access to independent and accurate climate science information.

You probably know that you can make a one-off or regular donation – but did you know there are lots of other ways to support us too?

Run for climate action at the City2Surf!

The world’s largest fun run is back on 11th August, and you can secure your place by signing up to fundraise for the Climate Council today!

Whether you run,  jog or walk – the 14km event from Sydney’s CBD to Bondi should be on everyone’s bucket list. And when you take part with the Climate Council, every step you take will help cut climate pollution and build a brighter future for our kids.

Fundraising

By fundraising on behalf of the Climate Council, you can help us raise money and awareness about climate change impacts and solutions amongst your friends, family and colleagues.

We recognise it’s a big ask, so that’s why we’ve put together some resources – to help you decide how you might like to fundraise for us. It’s a huge contribution that we greatly appreciate, and we’ll support you every step of the way.

Step 1: Choose your fundraising event

Your fundraising event can be big or small, sporty or artsy, really it’s whatever takes your fancy. There’s no limit to what you can do to support climate science. Our Fundraising Toolkit has some great event inspiration.

Step 2: Get in touch

You’ve got an idea – we’d love to hear from you! Please fill out our Application to Fundraise and email it back to community@climatecouncil.org.au All events must comply with our Terms and Conditions of fundraising.

Step 3: Get started

Once you have sorted out the details of your event, set a fundraising target to let your friends and family know about the impact you are trying to make.

Step 4: Promote your event

You’ve organised a great event – now to make sure people get involved. To help, we have developed a Social Media Pack and downloadable tiles and images to share.

Step 5: Host your event or complete your challenge!

After all your hard work, enjoy your fundraising event or challenge you have chosen to take part in. And make sure to let your wonderful supporters know how your event went, and thank them for their contribution.
