Philanthropy

With the support of our major donors, we can continue to provide world-class climate research, strategic media and communications training, targeted communications to the public, and influence key decision makers through our advocacy work.

Our major donors are a vital part of the Climate Council, and we recognise that we are only able to exist and remain an independent climate voice with your generous ongoing support.

If you are considering a gift of $10,000 or more, you can join our major gifts program, and our dedicated philanthropy team is here to assist.

A donation to the Climate Council is a donation to strengthen the whole climate movement in Australia.

  • Change the narrative in Australia – from one of delay, obstacles and distraction, to progress, effective collaboration and immense opportunity
  • Invest in world class climate research that is used by organisations and individuals around Australia to support their work.
  • Combat mis- and disinformation as we lead up to the 2025 election through our leading digital and media reach.
  • Support our Climate Media Centre to provide free media training to individuals and organisations within the climate movement, with over 5000 trained spokespeople.
  • Empower researchers to find new solutions to determine how we can cut climate pollution this decade.
  • Fund our strategic communications experts as we continue to transform the national story through loud, targeted, persuasive communications.
  • Assist our Emergency Leaders for Climate Action to continue to speak out in the media and
  • Support our advocacy team to influence key decision makers with the facts and knowledge so they have the preconditions to make good decisions.
