Dr Dimity Williams is a General Practitioner with an interest in how climate change impacts public health and wellbeing.
She is passionate about tackling climate change to ensure natural environments are safe for future generations. Dr Wiliams is also a co-founder of the Kids in Nature Network, a cross-sectoral network which seeks to reconnect children to nature.
She has been the Biodiversity Convenor for Doctors for the Environment Australia since 2013, and in her role Dr Williams has overseen the development of DEA’s Biodiversity Policy, and can talk about the ways in which the diversity and health of living things is essential for our health and wellbeing.
She is a keen advocate of prescribing time in nature for the prevention and treatment of modern illnesses, including anxiety and depression.
