Lucinda is the former Chair of Farmers for Climate Action and runs a large, multi-property cattle genetics enterprise with her husband and is based in the Murray Valley east of Albury. She is passionate about leading change in the rural and regional sector at a national level through her work in agribusiness. Her three children are also employed in rural Australia.
Farming has been a lifelong passion for Lucinda, which began in her early childhood growing up on a Western NSW sheep station at Darlington Point. Although she moved to Sydney for a period, she knew she wanted to pursue a career in agriculture and after completing her degree in ag science she began working in agribusiness.
Lucinda’s leadership on climate change adaptation in the grazing industry was recognised by the National Climate Change Research Facility (NCCARF) when she was named the 2012 Climate Adaptation Champion.
Lucinda is a Director of Meat and Livestock Australia and Chairs the MLA Donor Company, which brings together public and private partnerships investing in innovation. She is the Chair of the Graham Centre for Agricultural Innovation, a joint venture between Charles Sturt University and NSW DPI and a member of the NSW Primary Industries Ministerial Advisory Council, which she chaired for the previous Minister. She is a Commissioner of the Australian Centre for International Agriucultural Research.
