Tony Wolfe was a senior plant operator at one of the Loy Yang coal power stations in the Latrobe Valley, VIC, for more than 40 years. He can talk about what an effective job transition plan for coal workers needs to look like and why workers need support from federal and state governments to retrain and find jobs, including in renewable energy. He’s also on the community advisory board for the Star of the South offshore wind farm and very supportive of other local renewable energy projects.
