Whether you’re a small business owner or an individual, setting up workplace giving is simple and offers an immediate tax benefit. It’s a cost-effective way to contribute, and employees who participate enjoy the added advantage of an immediate tax benefit.
I’m an employee
- To give to the Climate Council through your payroll, first check to see if your workplace is already signed up on a workplace giving platform. Climate Council has existing profiles on Good2Give, GoodCompany & Benevity.
- If your workplace is signed up, speak to your payroll about deducting an amount from each payslip and donating to the Climate Council and ask if your employer will match your contribution.
- Most people start with a donation around $30 each month from their pre-tax paycheck.
