As devastating floods inundate towns across Northern NSW and QLD, families like Emma’s prepared to evacuate, and then faced the devastation once the floodwaters receded. Our hearts go out to everyone currently affected.

“This is climate change. This is happening here, it’s happening now, and what more is it going to take for our government to take action this decade,” says Emma Hannigan, a Climate Council staff member who lives in Murwillumbah, NSW.
